Join us in pledging your support for Alzheimer’s awareness, education and research

At Bankers Life we take pride in supporting causes that affect our customers and their families. That’s why for 14 years, we’ve partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. More than 5 million Americans today struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, and that number is expected to increase significantly.

Here are some facts about this disease from the Alzheimer’s Association:

  • 1-in-9 Americans age 65 and older has Alzheimer’s disease.1

  • Average out-of-pocket cost for health care and long-term care services for people age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s disease: $10,00011

Bankers Life Forget Me Not Days® is our nationwide community campaign to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease and collect donations for the Alzheimer's Association. Since 2003, we’ve helped raise more than $4.1 million for the Alzheimer’s Association and its local chapters.

Last year, more than 1,000 Bankers Life agents, associates and Alzheimer's Association volunteers took to the streets to collect donations from passersby. Volunteers collected in more than 200 cities across the country and over 200,000 packets of Forget-Me-Not flower seeds were exchanged for donations.

The event is called Forget Me Not Days because in exchange for their donations, individuals receive packets of Forget-Me-Not flower seeds to take home and plant in honor of families across America who are facing or have lost someone with Alzheimer's.

One hundred percent of the money collected during Forget Me Not Days is donated to the Alzheimer's Association.

Have you considered how your life could be affected by Alzheimer’s? This June, please take a minute to contact your local Bankers Life office and pledge your support to the families fighting this disease.
