Bankers Life gears up for Alzheimer’s Awareness Night

With over 5 five million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease—and the cost of Alzheimer’s expected to reach $1.1 trillion by 2050—the need for Alzheimer’s research and awareness has never been greater.1

That’s why Bankers Life is a proud supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Since 2003, we’ve raised over $4 million for Alzheimer’s research and caregiver services.

As part of our ongoing support of the Alzheimer’s Association, Bankers Life will host its fifth-annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on April 6th during the Indiana Pacers versus Cleveland Cavaliers game.

To raise awareness, forget-me-not flower seeds with key contact information for services will be passed out distributed to the first 5,000 fans who enter Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Alzheimer’s Association will staff an information table and the Bankers Life/CNO Financial Group in-game promotional ad spaces will be used to boost awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and resources for support.

During the game, cones of purple cotton candy will be sold, and $1 from every sale will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. (Purple is the organization’s signature color.)

The Alzheimer’s Association uses donations to advance research in hopes of one day eliminating the disease. Donations also help the association provide and enhance care for those affected, and to promote brain health to reduce the risk of dementia.

After the ALZ Awareness Night, Bankers Life will ramp up for its next Alzheimer’s Association fundraiser, Forget Me Not Days® in June. Last year, over $510,000 was raised nationally for the charity through this event.
