CHICAGO (February 21, 2003) - "Treat others as
you want to be treated," is among the winning philosophies of the
Hutchinson, Kansas branch of Bankers Life and Casualty Company, a

The office picked up the 2002 Soaring Eagle Award for overall
excellence at the Bankers National Managers Meeting earlier this
month. The award acknowledges the Bankers branch with the highest
sales, growth and profitability. In 2001, the Hutchinson office was
runner-up for the award.
Said Russ Miller, Hutchinson branch manager, "Simple respect
