ANTHONY MONDERINE JOINS BANKERS LIFE AND CASUALTY COMPANY AS CLAIMS VP

CHICAGO (December 2, 2004) - Anthony Monderine
has joined Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, as vice
president of Claims.
The 33-year insurance industry veteran comes to Bankers from
Mutual of Omaha where he rose from district claims representative
in 1971 to vice president of claims by 2000.
"Over the past few years, Anthony has led a major turnaround of
the claims operation at Mutual, moving it to among the best in the
industry," said John Wells, Bankers senior vice president of
Operations.
At Bankers, Monderine will be responsible for all claims
departments including Claim Adjusting, Managed Care/Claim Audit,
Operations Analysis and Life Claims. Wells said, "Anthony's depth
of experience will be a great benefit to our claim function and the
Operations division."
Monderine holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Fairmont
State College, Fairmont, W.Va.
