Bankers Life and Casualty Company To Offer Human Dental and Vision Plans Through Bankers' Career Agents

2011) Bankers Life and Casualty Company and Humana (NYSE:
HUM) today announced a strategic alliance under which Bankers will
offer Humana's individual dental and vision insurance plans to its
policyholders and consumers nationwide through Bankers' career
agents.
"We are pleased to be expanding our partnership with Humana to
make their stand-alone dental and vision plans available to our
nearly 1.4 million policyholders and prospective customers," said
Scott Perry, president of Bankers, the national life and health
insurer focusing on the retirement market. "Our customers - the
middle-income retirement market - are underserved in this type of
coverage. Humana's competitive products will be an excellent option
available with Bankers' product portfolio, and we look forward to
continuing our relationship."
Bankers will offer Humana's individual dental and vision
coverage through its career sales force consisting of more than
5,200 agents in approximately 250 sales offices across the United
States. Bankers' agents already offer Humana Medicare Advantage
health plans, in an alliance with Humana that began two years
ago.

citizens through our Medicare business, we know how important
dental and vision coverage are to many of our current members,"
