CHICAGO (Dec. 1, 2006) -
Bankers Conseco Life Insurance Company today announced that it will begin selling health
and life insurance plans, including those specifically designed for seniors, through
their career agent force in the state of New York, effective immediately.
Bankers' product portfolio will be available in New York through agents in newly-opened
offices in Syracuse, Jamestown and Albany. At least six additional branches and satellite
offices are planned to be opened throughout the state in 2007.
"The New York market is very important to Bankers," said Scott Perry, Executive Vice
President at Bankers. "There are more than one million households with people age 65 or older in the
state, and we see a great opportunity to provide the seniors of New York with additional options for
health and life coverage."
Bankers' comprehensive product portfolio is designed to meet the retirement planning needs of
the mature market. Plans available in New York include long-term care, Medicare supplement,
Medicare Advantage Private-Fee- For-Service, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, and whole life.
"With all the changes to Medicare, as well as long-term care costs increasing each
year, seniors have a lot of confusing information and options to sort through," said Perry. "As
specialists in the mature market, our agents are trained to understand the issues and needs specific
to seniors and are dedicated to helping them determine solutions that best meet their goals for
financial security."
